Scott Burr is an interesting guy. He’s holds a black belt in multiple martial arts, is a former MMA fighter, a strength coach, published fiction author, and has the distinction of being Steve Maxwell’s first and only black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Mark and Scott recently took part in Jim Smith and Steve Maxwell’s recent videos, 3D Strength & Real Resets and sat down to do this podcast in a hotel in Elmira, NY. The two talk about what it’s like to come of age and have multiple interests in front of you, but no real path; strength and conditioning, and of course, jiu jitsu and MMA. Check it out!
Froy “interviews” Mark in an effort to get into his brain on what it was like to go through a 5 week weight cut that saw him drop 10 lbs to make weight for a jiu jitsu tournament. Besides the obvious benefit of losing the weight and making the tournament, there was a lot Mark discovered about himself and the power of habit.
